Hearing check
Three minutes,
and a pair of headphones.
Most people notice speech getting mumbled long before they notice it getting quiet. This check walks through everyday situations, then plays quiet tones in the range where conversation lives. It tells you what you heard today — nothing more.
Before you start
- Headphones or earbuds — not laptop speakers.
- A quiet room, with the door shut if you can.
- About three minutes, uninterrupted. It is worth doing in one go.
Some steps play nothing at all. That is deliberate: it checks the test, not you. Answer exactly what you hear each time.
